I was shopping last evening, at Wal-Mart, when I saw someone who was family. It was the girl who gave birth to my youngest grand daughter. And there she was, the cute little girl, that she had blessed us with.

Jessica, is now 5 years old and really sprouting up.

I can tell she’s going to be a very smart young lady. Look out you young men, when she grows up, you’ll be twisted around her little finger, just like her daddy, is today…….

Grandma, just had to take a picture or two… that’s the way grandma’s are.

A fall evening, and I had been busy, trying to get all my chores, done, in order to appease Mom’s thinking, so she would give me my allowance and take me to the skating rink. Back in those days, the theater or skating rink, was about the only places you went on the weekends, to meet other people your age. Some were lucky enough to have cars, but most relied on mom or dad for transportation. So, here it was Friday evening, and time to go out and prowl for new bait, waiting to be scarfed up by us wanton, young ladies. Maybe, it was the other way, with the guys, they may have been thinking the same thing . Either way it was a way of life, and most girls that age, thought themselves to be undesirable, if they didn’t snag someone, by the time they were 17 or 18 years of age.

This particular Friday, night was to be a time, that I wasn’t ready for and would be the beginning, of a relationship, I would eventually give up on. 

Once again Graduation for the Cavender’s, this time it’s for the last child, of the clan, and they have it over with……… Christy, is the oldest of my grand daughter’s and the apple of daddy’s eye…….now Mom and Dad, can send her to college……

She wore the baseball cap coming down on the recessional, after the ceremonies were over……some one dared her…..

Our Girl has grown up and now it’s time for her to make decisions…… we’ll see how good she is…….

Of course grandma had to get in on the deal… Dang I look old……..
