It’s been a horrific year, and we haven’t even made it to June. The disasters just keep happening, and we can’t seem to recover before another hits. Our area of the country is looking at the June 1st starting date of hurricane season. Predictions are listed as grim, for most of the coastline areas with category 3 or higher hurricanes expected. Last year they expected there to be some but we were lucky. It’s my hope that this year will fail, in any major weather concerns.
I sure didn’t realize what I had forgotten about living in one of these things. It’s like living in a motel, with everyone’s noises and slamming their doors. I’m sure that it could be worse, but right now the lady down stairs, is driving me crazy. I’m so glad, when she goes and visits friends or family. That means peace and quiet for a few days. Sometimes, her TV runs all night, and just about when I asleep good, she turns on her loud stereo, with Mexican music! Damned!
It’s come to my attention that many city codes enlist the need for pet owners, to pick up after their animals. Dogs are some of the main reasons that this code has been adapted. You see the owners carry their dogs out to take care of their potty habits, and then they walk away and leave the excrement laying for someone to step in. Nasty, is the only word I can think of.
My it’s become so pretty lately, with spring popping at every corner. Today, the sun is out once again for the 4th time this week and the temps are very enjoyable. I hear we are in for some rain, possibly even spring storms, this weekend. I hope they are wrong, because I’m getting “spring fever”.
It was predicted that our local area would get snow again today. There were a few snow flurries, but nothing to talk about. I’m very glad that we didn’t get any large amounts of snow as before. Our power was off for over 9 hours during the night, and I worried about the meat in my freezer.
