Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich attends a press conference ...

Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was arrested Tuesday for conspiring to sell or trade President-elect Barack Obama’s vacant Senate seat to the highest bidder as part of what federal prosecutors called a “political corruption crime spree.”  He was also charged with illegally threatening to withhold state assistance to Tribune Co., the owner of the Chicago Tribune, in an attempt to strong-arm the newspaper into firing editorial writers who had criticized him.

Is Hillary Being Considered?

November 18, 2008 on 2:49 pm | In Politics | No Comments

After all the crap she had to suffer at the hands of Obama, and now they are saying she may be added to the cabinet.  It’s really a hard pill to swallow, seeing the way she has been treated and now to include her, is almost sorry on our President elect’s part.  So, far I haven’t seen anything to respect about him anyway.

I felt really sorry for her and the front she had to put up, to give the unity that the Democratic Party needed. It really wasn’t an easy thing for her, but she’s a good stateswoman, and advocate of human rights, so I suppose, she knew this was the only right thing to do. I’m more proud of her for being the unifier, instead of the destroyer.  I’m not sure I could have been as congenial as her and her supporters, in all this mess.  Here’s to you “Lady”, you sure  know how to bowl them over good!  I’m sure that lump in your throat was hard to swallow and you had to eat a lot of crow to pull this one off.  We knew you would and you did!

Once again you may have to eat crow and forge on into the political world, in order to keep your foot inside the realm of politics.

Obama Selects Chief of Staff

In this June 6, 2008, file photo Rep. Rahm Emanuel, D-Ill., ...

Rep. Rahm Emanuel has accepted the job of White House chief of staff, at the request of Obama. The hard-charging No. 3 Democrat in the House, will be there to help the President Elect in all affairs. He is leaving his job in House leadership to do everything he can to “help deliver the change America needs.” Selection of the fiery Democrat marked a shift in tone for Obama, who chose more low-key leadership for his presidential campaign

Obama….

October 30, 2008 on 4:06 pm | In Politics | No Comments

The nation is facing electing a person, who is not ready to lead the country. As of now, we are only looking at the two men, who are running against each other and they have picked running mates.  Obama is someone who won’t even salute the American Flag.
I’m still worried at the outcome of the election, with these two men as candidates and no one else to choose from. The issue of McCain’s age has come up and that well could deter many, when choosing. Obama, hasn’t been on the front line in the military, so he can only guess, and either way the one who is finally our president, will be subject to the cabinet and advisers on each affair. The president really can’t run the government by himself, so all these other people will have their say in how he should decide.
I feel a certain snobbish air with each man, and wonder where the American people will be in 4 years. Certainly the middle and lower class people will suffer once again at the hands of our government. This time I also worry about our nations, elderly and disabled citizens. We really have a problem on the home front and it’s not going away any time soon.
