That nice rain we had was welcomed by all my plants. Since I planted my banana plants, the summer took it’s toll on the one’s on the south side of the house, and I only have one there. The plants in the front yard have done well and are thriving. 
Now, the chore comes to make sure I save them from the winters, we have here in Texas……..since I’m not down on the coast….I don’t have the nice temps and rains. So, I’ll probably have to try and cover them somehow, to keep the freezing temps and frost, from killing them. Time will tell.

One Blooms
The rains came and this thing took off to blooming……..the other one didn’t do a thing. The same happened with one of my other plants. I have two mandavillas, and one bloomed and the other one didn’t. Now, I really don’t understand this, but then I’m not Mother Nature, so I guess I’ll just be thankful for what I have. I really like my plants when they bloom, they are so pretty to see, when you Classifieds “>drive down the street by my home.

House Leeks?
My sister gave me a small Classifieds “>start of these back 2 years ago and since then I’ve transplanted it a couple of times. This is the second time it’s bloomed, and I always like the lacy pink flowers. I also notice the lady across the street has one that’s much bigger than mine, 
and hers is also in full bloom. Just a small limb will root very easy in water, then your off to a whole new plant. It handles all kinds of weather……..believe me.:)

Flies……..
This cactus/venus flytrap….whatever……. has really bloomed this year. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen it with two blooms on it at the same time. This is also the most flies, I’ve ever seen on it at one time, and even Classifieds “>more were flying around it, waiting for me to get back at a safe distance. 
I re-potted it this year for extra Classifieds “>growing room, and gave it some fertilizer, and it has really taken off. Just thought I’d show you some pictures of it.

I love to see my plants bloom after a good rain. These 2 bloom every time it rains and I really enjoy driving into my yard and seeing them waving at me in the breeze on a lazy day.
