Waste Management….

Filed under: Business & Economy, Other, Society & Culture — Administrator @ 3:29 pm

I met a man a few years back who worked for one of the major waste management firms in the local DFW area. He was the router, who made sure the trucks hit the road at a certain time, went to the companies that were on their lists at the exact specified locations and followed their progress during the scheduled work time. It was a stressful job and one I tried to hire on for. I figured if he could handle it, so could I. There were several different aspects to handle and I’m sure that the Waste Management Software they used was adequate, but could probably have been updated. It was a very stressful and overwhelming time, when we had all those people come up here and stay at the convention center, during the hurricanes. Rainy Weather

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator @ 3:00 pm

They predicted last night that we would wake up to rain this morning and so we did. If their predictions are correct, then we will be under about 2 & 1/2 to 3 days of rain. Some at times will be considered heavy, thereby causing flooding in some low lying areas. Now wouldn’t you know that I live in a low lying area? So, that means that the end of the street will be flooded like it always is, and it will be hard to get in or out of our street. I house on the corner has every chance of being flooded, but I haven’t seen it happen yet. Hopefully, they won’t get it this time either.

They Bloomed…….

Filed under: Uncategorized — Administrator @ 3:39 pm

016 The rains came and this thing took off to blooming……..the other one didn’t do a thing. The same happened with one of my other plants. I have two mandavillas, and one bloomed and the other one didn’t. Now, I really don’t understand this, but then I’m not Mother Nature, so I guess I’ll just be thankful for what I have. :) I really like my plants when they bloom, they are so pretty to see, when you drive down the street by my home. :)
