We are sitting here waiting for the much needed rain that they are predicting we will be getting tonight, tomorrow and the next day. They say we will get a good soaking rain, which we have needed for some time. Our state is in a virtual drought area and it was beginning to look bleak. Maybe this will give us the water to raise the lakes and streams giving us plenty to use this year.

Trees Are Starting to Bloom
The weather has really been mean to the trees and plants this year. One day it’s in the 70′s and sunny, the next it in the 40′s or 50′s, wet or cold………I’m interested to see the outcome of this sporadic weather on these new buds. The growing season may be met with a disaster, and we will end up with ruined fruits and vegetables. Time will tell.

Daffodils and Narcissis
I already have these blooming in my yard, next to the front porch……….The weather here, has been crazy and the freezing temps, have wreaked havoc on most plants that stayed outside. I really enjoy the spring season, most of all, because it’s a time of new growth.

One Blooms
The rains came and this thing took off to blooming……..the other one didn’t do a thing. The same happened with one of my other plants. I have two mandavillas, and one bloomed and the other one didn’t. Now, I really don’t understand this, but then I’m not Mother Nature, so I guess I’ll just be thankful for what I have.
I really like my plants when they bloom, they are so pretty to see, when you Classifieds “>drive down the street by my home.

House Leeks?
My sister gave me a small Classifieds “>start of these back 2 years ago and since then I’ve transplanted it a couple of times. This is the second time it’s bloomed, and I always like the lacy pink flowers. I also notice the lady across the street has one that’s much bigger than mine,
and hers is also in full bloom. Just a small limb will root very easy in water, then your off to a whole new plant. It handles all kinds of weather……..believe me.:)

Hibiscus Blooms
I love to see my plants bloom after a good rain. These 2 bloom every time it rains and I really enjoy driving into my yard and seeing them waving at me in the breeze on a lazy day. This one was given to my by a lady that know how much I like plants, and the other one was bought for me by my ex-spouse. If I have nothing else I have my flowers, to enjoy.

My Yellow Rose……
I have many plants in my yard and a few days after the hurricane Ike, came through this beautiful rose, was blooming and so were many other flowers in my yard………wouldn’t it be nice if things this pretty would stay around and be this beautiful longer?
I can always count on these two to bloom for me, even when the others don’t.

My Orchids Are………
I’ve had this orchid about a year and this is the second time it has bloomed. Actually, it was blooming when I bought it. It only has 4 blooms, compared to the time I bought it, it had many on it. There are several new stems growing and soon, I will need to separate it and divide the plants. This is scary, because I have lost plants, trying to divide them in previous times. Especially African Violets, they are so easy to kill and so delicate. Ineed to get an African Violet, again and start some more new plants.

Flowers Blooming
A blogger, who I check on occasionally , said she thinks this is a member of the Venus Fly Trap. It’s blooming and has other buds on it growing to mature flower size. I still haven’t had anyone tell me what the actual name is of it.
I have to get a picture of this plant when it blooms, because people think it’s something other than a Hibiscus………imagine that? I have 5 blooms on it today, tomorrow they’ll all be closed and I’ll have to wait for another bloom to open.

The Clouds Tease Me..
The sky is teasing me…
If I think it’s going to rain, I’ve got another think coming..
It does this every few days. The surrounding areas here where I live, get the much needed rain, in fact they get too much. I must not be living right, it will rain, everywhere else, and bypass my dry dying lawn.
My poor vegetable garden has burn up and I didn’t get very many nice veggies, because of the drought in our area. The heat has almost killed everything, and I only water when I have to.
The breeze is getting cooler, so someone is getting rain……..just not me!
