Back Yard
Home
Recently we had to put Mom and my step-dad in a nursing home for their own best interests. They have gotten to the point they no longer can care for themselves in the way that’s healthy. Since that time, I’ve considered moving into the old family home. It’s located about 35 miles east of Dallas, and nice small town effect. This is the house, where I will be living. It dates back to the early 1900′s and has been remodeled to make it more livable.

Warm Up
The weather finally decided to warm up in time for the Super Bowl game, and everyone was very glad. The long lines at the stadium was tough to endure with the weather chill in the air, but they made it……….
After last weeks long cold spell, we were glad to get any temperature that was above 20 degrees.

Winter Blast
This afternoon as well as tonight, we are supposed to get a horrible winter blast, that will give us the possibility of snow. It’s not going away the next day either, but will last all week right into the Super Bowl weekend. I’m just getting better from the cold/sinus attack I received this last week, and am still not out of the woods. I don’t need anymore of this stuff, to make me feel any worse than I already do. Living here in the DFW area, I can only assume how many there will be who get out it it to be tourists and go to the Super Bowl parties set to take place through out the week. There’s going to be alot of sick people next week, and the doctor’s will make some good money.

Texas Weather
Well, here is is in all it’s splendor with all the beauty of spring. Yet, it’s February and we are just a few days away from not only the Super Bowl, but extreme cold temperatures. This is the lull before the storm, so to speak. In Texas you can never be happy with the weather unless it’s like today. It’s actually 71*degrees and the sun is everywhere. Predictions are for a cold wintry blast around Tuesday with possible snow. Darn it!

Weather
The start of this year’s State Fair of Texas was wet and rainy. The 1st day was sunny but the 2nd day we woke up to rain and it lasted 2 days. You could see people scurrying around trying to keep from getting wet. The worst part was not being able to find a place to walk, without stepping in a big puddle of water. Naturally, it was fun to the kids, but not the parents. Today, it’s a gorgeous day, with sun warming the temps back up to a nice 80 degrees. Everyone will be able to enjoy going to the Fair today, because the rides will be in service, and all the food courts will be open with the new foods introduced this year.

Costumes
Each year we find reasons to dress up and go to a party. It may be a Halloween or New Year’s party, but we still feel the need to enjoy the party the way others are doing.
