I have many plants in my yard and a few days after the hurricane Ike, came through this beautiful rose, was blooming and so were many other flowers in my yard………wouldn’t it be nice if things this pretty would stay around and be this beautiful longer?
I can always count on these two to bloom for me, even when the others don’t.
I love roses…….I was told many years ago, that if you want roses, you’d better grow them yourself. Because if you wait on a man to give you roses, you’ll be waiting a long time…..unless your one of the lucky few women in this world.
So, you can see I grew my own………
They have weathered the storms we have been having lately.
I keep pinching the dead hips off, so they will make new blooms….. ………………..
I’m glad I fertilized the other day, it rained the next and watered it right in.
Back in January I pruned the rose bushes back so they become a thicker bush and produce larger roses. I notice this weather has brought out new shoots of growth in the last week.
It won’t be long until I will need to fertilize and let the rain do it’s job.
