This peach tree was about 2 ft. tall when we bought it 2 summers ago. I planted it as soon as we got home and I didn’t expect anything from it for another year or two. It suprised me this year and had several peaches on it. There are only 2 or 3 left because some of them didn’t set. They soon fell off and the birds had fun with the other peach tree. I finally pulled all the peaches off the other tree because the birds and the wasps were ruining them anyway. Just thought I’d show you this tree and how much it’s grown.

Rainy Year
I’m really glad that we’ve been getting as much rain as we have this year. It has gotten to the point that it’s a bit too much on occasion. We Texans don’t gripe much unless it causes a problem, with high winds, bad storms, flooding or tornado’s. Then of course there’s a problem that must be dealt with. Otherwise the rains are mostly welcomed, because we are usually in a drought condition. The spring we have had a nice amount of rain. Yes, we also have had some bad storms. The plants and lawns are thriving, to say the least. It will become a problem, if someone did their yearly fertilizing. The grass and such will be to their knees before they can mow.

Just A Walk……..
We went on a walk in this park to see how things were going this year. It’s as if the world has turned completely around and come back to this spot. The birds are hatching their babies, the trees are getting their leaves, and the spring flowers are blooming…………I guess, that’s the way God intended it to be………..It sure was nice to get that rain last week, it brought the level of the lakes up………

Much Needed Rain
We are sitting here waiting for the much needed rain that they are predicting we will be getting tonight, tomorrow and the next day. They say we will get a good soaking rain, which we have needed for some time. Our state is in a virtual drought area and it was beginning to look bleak. Maybe this will give us the water to raise the lakes and streams giving us plenty to use this year.

Peach Tree…..
My peach tree is blooming great this year, so we will see how many peaches the birds and wasps can devour, this year. Last year it looked like this after the blooms fell off……….my apricot tree died…………just couldn’t get enough rain………..the drought was so bad.
This is the redbud tree that is by the fence……….. When I had the man cut down all the bushes last fall, I told him to leave it, so it could grow up and get bigger………they are so pretty in early spring……

Trees Are Starting to Bloom
The weather has really been mean to the trees and plants this year. One day it’s in the 70′s and sunny, the next it in the 40′s or 50′s, wet or cold………I’m interested to see the outcome of this sporadic weather on these new buds. The growing season may be met with a disaster, and we will end up with ruined fruits and vegetables. Time will tell.

Cold and Dreary Day
It’s a cold and dreary day here in Texas, and it’s going to get worse the weathermen say. It’s supposed to get down right icey tonight and tomorrow. They say it may well be on into Wednesday. So, it’s time to get all the good cooking on the stove and hunker down, till it’s over. I don’t like cold weather, and can’t understand why people settle in the really cold areas of the country? I’d freeze to death in such conditions as some people live in.

Garage Storage
It’s spring and time to do some spring cleaning……..therefore you may need some storage bins or items, to help with the process. I need some of the steel shelves that they offer, to maintain my excess tools and small yard equipment. You can get garage storage cabinets, that are sturdy and made of steel to maintain your garage. Not only can they be used for your garage but these cabinets are also an excellent option for kitchens and hospitals. Check out this website for more information.

Got Some Ice……..
I don’t know if you can see the ice on the trees, but we definitely have ice here in TX today………..
I’m very glad that I’m not out driving in this stuff, cause it will get very dangerous on these roads, especially when the night begins and it gets dark………
I knew that my house wasn’t staying warm like I expected……….now, I realize why………..”there’s ice on them there trees”………..

Fruit Trees
You don’t see many of them these days, and I sure it’s because of the mess the birds make on your cars, when sitting under Mulberry trees. The fruit is sweet and great for sauces but, you must pick them before the birds get to them. There is always a bumper crop, and the size of the fruit(finger nail) makes it hard to get ample for much cooking. So, I guess since my Apricot tree didn’t make it this summer I’ll have to shop for your next year’s tree planting.
