Hanging Tomato
I’ve got several flowers on my upside down, tomato plant……….I hope they make tomatoes for me……….they are the little red cherry tomatoes, and usually make a bunch of fruit. Cherry’s are great in a salad, sliced in half……..and I’m ready for them to get growing…….please……..

Tomato Plant
I’ve noticed the recent trend of growing plants from the bottom of a container. So, I planted some tomato seeds, and when they came up, I transferred then to the hole in the bottom of this container, and this is what I have so far.

Last Year
Last year I had plenty of slips for sweet potatoes, growing here and I should have transplanted them, but I didn’t and they grew potatoes, but they were small, because of the container. This year, I plan to do better and grow some of them in the ground so, the potatoes, can get bigger. Sweet potatoes, cost an arm and a leg in the stores. I figure, I can grow my own and have plenty on hand.

Trees Are Starting to Bloom
The weather has really been mean to the trees and plants this year. One day it’s in the 70′s and sunny, the next it in the 40′s or 50′s, wet or cold………I’m interested to see the outcome of this sporadic weather on these new buds. The growing season may be met with a disaster, and we will end up with ruined fruits and vegetables. Time will tell.

Need Help……
It’s very hard to get the younger generation to show up and help when you need them. They sure can show up when they need your help. I suppose it’s a lost cause, but I really am in need of a certain young man to come over and work on my tiller and then till my veggie garden…………I’m going to have to offer him some money I suppose……….otherwise the job won’t get done……

Tiller
My sorrowful tiller sits out in the yard, with an abandoned look. The person that I got to come over to get it started, said that it needs more work………..therefore, my vegetable gardening may be a bit late this year…………He has other problems in his life and then it rained again down into it………after he had cleaned out the thing and tried to get it to start. I’m too old and unable to have the muscle it takes to even pull the starter string, that turns the engine……..hopefully he’ll get it done before April………..I would like to have a garden this year……..

Turkey Day?
It’s going to be hectic, either way………I sure hope the weather holds, so it won’t be too cold outside. I don’t like cold weather, it makes everyone sick and my spouse is experiencing this as we speak.
I sure hope everyone comes with a big appetite, cause my fridge is full of things and it will be hard to find any space to store leftovers…………I’ll try to send as much home with people as I can………that will help to keep the fridge from being so full……
Hey, all you nice people who visit my site………….please have a great and safe holiday and come back the following week, to read more on this blog…………

The Clouds Tease Me..
The sky is teasing me…
If I think it’s going to rain, I’ve got another think coming..
It does this every few days. The surrounding areas here where I live, get the much needed rain, in fact they get too much. I must not be living right, it will rain, everywhere else, and bypass my dry dying lawn.
My poor vegetable garden has burn up and I didn’t get very many nice veggies, because of the drought in our area. The heat has almost killed everything, and I only water when I have to.
The breeze is getting cooler, so someone is getting rain……..just not me!

The Heat Is Killing Everything…….
My poor vegetable garden is really suffering………there’s not enough rain, and watering is too expensive……..plus they have us on “water rationing” here in Texas…..so, you can only water one or two days a week, that is unless you want to stand there with the hose in your hand, and water it that way……..Now that’s a big chore……..so, I just water the plants, that are looking really limp and do it before dark so the water can cool the roots, during the night.
As for the veggies, there’s hardly a thing that’s producing, because of the heat. They’re doing good to survive….and that’s not saying much. Texas heat is scorching and really takes it’s toll on outside plants.
