When I was moving from my house to an apartment, I paused for a moment to notice the beautiful blooms on the yucca plant, next to the back corner. As you can see it was blooming. It doesn’t bloom every year, only when there’s been plenty of rain or I had watered the yard well. During drought years it wouldn’t bloom. I suppose it was because of the lack of moisture.

I’m Not Sure
I had this plant that someone sold to me, and it didn’t have a name. I got tired of it being in the large container, so I planted it in the front yard near the corner of the house. It took off to growing, and I noticed that it really bloomed when it would rain. So, I tried to keep it watered as much as I could. Here, it is showing the pretty purple blooms, which were numerous.

Bamboo…….
About 2 years ago, I bought this bamboo at a flea market and it was a very small bunch. I believe it was only 2 inches tall at the time I bought it from the vendor. I place it in a container, that was small and could support it. Before I knew it the plant took off and was out growing the container it was in. I found this old flower vase, that I had put away and the bamboo fit in it perfectly. So, it found a good place to be supported and grow straight up. I make sure that it has plenty of light and change it’s water ever so often.
